Four workmen can be seen on the vessel deck. At the left side of the photo, a sign over a utility shed reads "Warning Explosives - No Radio or Radar Transmission in This Area." A typewritten label on the back of the photo frame reads "Drillboat J. M. Hassett on Little Rapids Channel opposite Frechette Point, Middle Neebish Channel, St. Mary's River, Michigan, July, 1958."
