Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A series of five mannequins depicted as a family, and dressed in period costume are featured in the display; the mother and father are sitting on a Victorian style couch; three boys stand adjacent to their parents. Signage in the foreground reads, "Lie with Father - Comes to Detroit. A typical American family of 60 years ago - when the J.L. Hudson Company was founded." Also, two smaller signs are visible at the feet of the seated mannequins and reads, "Life with Father, Now Playing at the Cass Theatre," "Furniture and Pictures Courtesy of the Detroit Historical Museum." The date, photographic sequence number, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "6-3-41; 18450-3x; Davis B. Hillmer."
