Print. Black and white photographic print of the "Michigan On Canvas" art exhibition at the J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Scenes of Michigan are featured throughout the exhibitions final showing. Signage at the entryway to the exhibit reads, "Final Showing of 'Michigan On Canvas' Hudson's 100,000 Collection of Paintings by Famous American Artists. As part of our 75th Anniversary celebration we are presenting the entire collection to the people of Michigan- to libraries, museums, schools and government buildings." The date, photographic sequence number, company name and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "6-8-56; 27209-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
