Print. Black and white photographic print of the Cavalcade of Fashion window display at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store commemorating the 250th anniversary of the city of Detroit and Hudson's 70th year of business. Two female mannequins stand in front of a mural of the new Civic Center, and dressed in the fashions of 1951. Signage in the foreground reads, "Cavalcade of Fashion Through 250 Years, The Detroit of Today... dynamic, onward - surging Metropolis. The new Civic Center, proof of a destiny of coming greatness for the city on the site of Cadillac's fort." The date and photographic sequence number are printed on the bottom of the recto, "7-10-51; 25243-10x."
