One black and white photograph showing Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corporation staff who are on their way to Point La Barbe near St. Ignace, Michigan, to begin preparatory work for the Lakehead Pipeline crossing of the Straits of Mackinac. The photo shows a snow plow with several men who are standing beside it on a snow-covered road. A "City Cab" is parked behind the plow. Handwritten pencil text on the verso reads "379-4, ML-3801, Party at Pt. La Barbe." An adjacent black ink date stamp shows "Feb. 16, 1953."
