One black and white photograph of the hydraulic (suction) dredge, ALABAMA, of the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company. The photo shows a starboard quarter view of the vessel which is at work on a canal widening project near Louisville, Kentucky. The canal is visible in the foreground. An electrical substation and transmission towers can be seen on the shoreline in the background. A floating discharge pipeline can be seen off the transom of the dredge. Two workmen are working on the discharge pipe and a small workboat is moored near them.
