Featured in the foreground is a large book open on an easel, and advertises The Book Fair, "A Week of Authors, October 11 through 16, 1937;" also noted on the advertisement is the adult programming schedules for Tuesday, October 12. The Book Fair Information Desk features several volumes of books in a glass display case and also arranged on shelves against the back wall. Advertisements for 'Webster's New International Dictionary' are visible in the background. The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "17721-6x."
