One sepia-toned photograph of two men who are standing on the deck of the Bob-Lo boat, SS COLUMBIA, that is moored at the foot of Woodward Avenue. Both men are wearing white shirts, ties, and dark-colored business suits. The unidentified man at the left is placing a captain's hat on the head of Bob-Lo bandleader/drummer, Joe Vitale. The Bob-Lo ticket office building can be seen in the lower background. The Buhl Building, Penobscot Building, and American Natural Resources Building can be seen in the center background as well as other downtown Detroit office buildings at the left and right sides of the photo. A red ink stamp on the verso has text that reads "Photograph by The Detroit News."
