Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of an exhibition at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A male mannequin and two young boys are featured standing around a Penny-farthing high-wheel bicycle. Signage adjacent to the exhibit reads, "Bicycles, 'Look Ma - No Hands!' Everybody cheered as little Willie pedaled by on his shiny red tricycle. But the hero of the day was the brave young man who dared challenge the high-wheeled Ordinary. Frequently he would give up in despair and, looking blasé and noncommittal would simply stand safely alongside the monster." The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "4-12-56; 27162-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
