One color photograph of a large suction pipe apparatus that has been used to remove coal ash slurry from a containment pond, located to the southwest of the Cleveland-Cliffs Dearborn Works and Schaefer Highway. The apparatus is mounted on the end of a backhoe arm and is removing slurry remnants along the bottom of the pond. A flexible hose is connected to a manifold at the top of the suction pipe apparatus. Pond embankment walls and Ford signage are visible in the background. Several large industrial buildings can be seen in the far right background.
