Large color photograph of a group of twelve people, including Energy Conversion Devices, Incorporated founder Stanford Robert Ovshinsky and his wife Iris Miroy Ovshinsky, as well as Solectria executives Mark Dockser, James Worden, and Anita Rajan, posed with two battery electric cars--a yellow Solectria Sunrise and a green Solectria Force--in front of the Treasury Building in Washington D.C., the final stop on the 1996 Tour de Sol during which the Sunrise set a record for going 375 miles on a single charge. The cars are both decorated with sponsor decals, including Goodyear, Sanoh, Quin-T, Boston Edison, and the Northeast Advanced Vehicle Consortium. Both cars also have decals for the American Tour de Sol, and ones for ECD's Ovonic Batteries. Five of the posed subjects wear matching turquoise sweaters with Solectria logos, the rest are dressed formally. "Roll 150, Neg. 5, Stan & Iris," is handwritten on the verso in marker, and "Stan & Iris ATDS '96 Victory Dinner," was handwritten on the backing with which this photo was previously framed.
