Both are wearing business suits and are seated beside a Bridgeport milling machine. The colleague (left) is observing as Stanford Ovshinsky (right) uses a pen in his right hand to point to a small bracket and gauge that are mounted on the side of the machine. Various pieces of equipment/machinery are partially visible in the background. A blue ink stamp on the verso has text that reads "Photographers Commercial, 13450 Puritan, Detroit 27, Michigan. Vermont 8-8180." Adjacent handwritten pencil text shows the number, "10133-3."
