Black and white photo of the Interlake Steamship Company's freighter HERBERT C. JACKSON, as taken from off its starboard side. A row of long industrial buildings on the grounds of Great Lakes Engineering Works, are visible on the shore in the background, off the ship's port side. The photo has beveled edges, printed in the bottom border, and rectangular holes punched in the left border to be bound into a photo album with a plastic binding comb. "Interlake's newest freighter, the Str. 'S.S.___ at Grt. Lakes Shipping Yard in River Rouge, Mich., taken June, 1959," is handwritten on the verso.
