Black and white photo of the Arnold Transit Company excursion boat CHIPPEWA, docked at St. Ignace, as taken from the water off of its starboard bow. Passengers are visible on board, and a small group stand on the wharf. A life ring is hung in the foreground on the right edge of frame. Bushes, and a small structure are also on the shore. The photo has beveled edges. "MAR 58," is printed in the center of the top border. "'Chippewa' of the Arnold Transit Co., Taken at St. Ignace, Mich. Aug 4, 1949" is handwritten and "Photo by B.H. Nichols Neg. No. 378," is stamped on the verso.
