Black and white photo taken of the compensating mechanism used to align the tracks with those aboard railroad ferries at the Grand Trunk Railway ferry slip at the Brush Street Station, as taken from the shore beside the slip. Large counter-balance weights are suspended from the arch above the ramp "11. Grand Trunk Ry. Ferry Slip, Brush St. Term. 9/8/53," is handwritten on the verso. The photo has beveled edges.
