Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display for The Boys' Club of Detroit at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Featured in the window is a model of the Boys' Club building, displayed in each building window are differing activities a boy could partake. A papier-mâché boy has a text bubble coming out of his mouth, it reads, "I'm a member of the Boys' Club of Detroit and these are the things we do in my club." Models, papier-mâché, woodworking, and physical education activities are featured in the windows and in displayed objects. A map of the United States is affixed to the rear of the display and reads, "There are 250 Boys' Clubs in the United States with a Quarter Million Boy Membership." Also, signage in the central lower foreground reads, "The Boys' Club of Detroit established in 1926, provides a wholesome program of health service, physical, educational, and recreational activities to 2,500 boy members from seven to seventeen years of age." The photographic sequence number, date, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "22414-x; 4-3-46; Davis B. Hillmer."
