Featured in the window are a series of mannequins, posing as a family, including dad, mom and children, having a picnic. A map above the display features the locations of twelve different state parks. Murals on either side of the display feature the smoggy city, and a respite park. Signage affixed to the far left mural reads, "Your Parks, Within a radius of thirty-five to sixty-five miles of downtown Detroit are twelve beautiful Michigan State Parks. Picturesque lakes and streams, scenic hills, woods and open spaces, blend to make these thousands of acres highly attractive. These areas are suitable for picnicking, camping, group-camping, hiking, horseback riding, boating, fishing, and nature study. Beautiful in season are wild flowers and autumn colors along wildwood trails. Your State Parks offer you all these desirable recreate facilities for your pleasure and enjoyment.
