An image in the left foreground depicts Mr. Robert E. Lee building the models. City of Detroit flags are featured behind the models. Signage in the foreground reads, "From Horse Cars to Streamliners, The History of Detroit's Street Railway System, Built by Roberts E. Lee, these models are part of a series of 20 to be permanently exhibited in the new Detroit Historical Museum. When complete, the exhibit will be worth $10,000 and will illustrate the whole story of Detroit's street railway system."
