Black and white photographic print of the dedication of the Kresge Exhibit Hall addition at the Detroit Historical Museum. Mr. Stanley Kresge, stands left of the ceremonial plaque, and Mayor Jerome Cavanagh is immediately right of the plaque; Mr. Leonard Simons and Mr. Gordon Rice are right of the mayor. The dedication plaque reads, "Kresge Exhibit Hall, Dedicated July 24, 1968, Gift of the Kresge Foundation in the amount of $500,000 fostered by the Detroit Historical Society, matched by the city of Detroit, Dedicated to the enjoyment and enrichment of the citizens of the Detroit area, for the further appreciation of our heritage.
