Black and white photographic print of the unveiling of the Thomas Alva Edison historic plaque at the Mount Clemons Station, a railroad depot located in Mount Clemens, Michigan. A crowd is gathered behind dignitaries as the plaque is unveiled. The plaque reads, "Thomas Alva Edison Learned the Art of Telegraphy in this Building; Thomas Alva Edison saved the life of the three-year-old sons of J.U. MacKenzie, who was charge of this station in August, 1862. To show his appreciation, Mr. MacKenzie taught Edison telegraphy. This tablet presented to the City of Detroit by The J.L. Hudson Company, on the anniversary of Thomas Edison's Birth."
