"Bust of Cadillac at Historical Museum; a gift to the museum at its dedication, July 24, 1951, when Detroit was 250 years old," is handwritten on the verso. Also, stamped on the verso, "By Detroit News Staff Photographer H. Burgert, Reporter Stark."
