Color photograph taken in the aftermath of the 1967 riots of the charred storefront of the Valentine Furniture Company at 8781 Grand Boulevard Avenue, as taken from the driver's seat of a car overlooking the hood. Broken glass and burned debris litters the sidewalk in front of the business. The heart-shaped sign above the entrance is unreadable. The Active Window Painting Company, and John's Bible and Book Store next door are not visible damaged. Several pedestrians stand on the sidewalk near the intersection with Kimberly Court. "Jul 67," is printed in the right border of the photo.
