One black and white aerial photograph showing downtown Detroit and the area northeast of downtown. Some yellow lines have been drawn on the photograph which appear to depict the locations of the future I-75 and I-375 freeways in the downtown area. Probably, this photograph was used for right-of-way and utility relocation planning for the future freeway construction. Major roads such as Jefferson Avenue, Gratiot Avenue, Woodward Avenue, Grand River Avenue, Michigan Avenue, and the Lodge Freeway are clearly visible. A portion of the Detroit River can be seen in the lower right corner of the photo. The date, "4-13-56," is shown in the upper left corner and the number, "GA-1-77," is shown in the upper right corner. A red ink stamp on the verso shows "All Rights Reserved, The Detroit Edison Company, 2000 Second Avenue, Detroit 26, Michigan."
