Black and white photographic print of a drawing of dust-collector units.
Caption reads: Dust-collector units, each capable of cleaning 80,000 cubic feet of foundry exhaust gases per minute, were added to cupolas at Ford Motor Company's foundry in the Rouge manufacturing area. The twin collector unit shown above in a cutaway drawing, uses recirculating water to clean the cupola emissions. Iron for castings is produced in the foundry's cupolas. Exhausts from the cupolas are routed into the dust collectors for filtering.
