Print. Black and white photographic print of a casual home furnishings retail display at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. An upholstered couch and matching chair are featured adjacent to a folding table and chairs which is set for a meal. An occasional table with illuminated lamp is also featured in front of the window. Built-in wall shelves feature differing types of ornamental ceramics. Signage affixed to the rear wall reads, "Samson, Space Saver for the One-Room Apartment." The photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name is printed on the bottom of the recto, "23440-3x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." Also, the date is hand-written on the verso, "1948."
