Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a casual home furnishing retail display at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Furniture featured in the display includes a card table, with playing cards and poker chips, a credenza, a leather upholstered chair, an end table with illuminated lamp, and a book case. An oil painting is affixed to the rear wall atop the credenza; featured atop the credenza is a fish sculpture, and a chess set. Signage visible in the right foreground reads, "Samson, Tables Entertain for the Host." The photographic sequence number, company name and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "23440-5x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." Also, the date is hand-written on the verso, "1948."
