Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display advertising a fully furnished home library, and interior decoration at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. A husband and wife appear to be having a conversation in the home library, the wife is leaning against an ornate secretary, with several series of books featured in the top component; flanking the secretary are two leather upholstered wingback chairs. An occasional table, featuring a silver tea service, is featured between the two chairs, and in the central foreground of the display. Two three-drawer chests are visible on the left and right walls, and each features an illuminated lamp and items for display including a decanter, and candlesticks. Two oil paintings are affixed to the rear wall and flank the secretary. Signage in the lower central-right foreground reads, "Hudson's and House & Garden say: Live as well as you Look, Indulge your flair for the dramatic but let your taste pervade your whole scheme of living, we and our books live quiet lives, Studio of Interior Decoration, 8th Floor, Woodward, Section E." A copy of House & Garden magazine is visible in front of the larger sign.
