Black and white photo of MISS CANADA III (G-8), being launched or recovered on the marine railway at Kean's Harbor in Detroit. The boat is sitting on a cradle which was attached to the railway floor. The boat would then be launched or retrieved by a cable which would lower or raise the boat along the rails. The beginning of the railway can be seen at the left of the picture. Two men, probably the driver and mechanic, can be seen standing on the boat.
