Black and white photograph of the three U.S. defending boats in the 1949 Harmsworth Race on the Detroit River. Pictured from left to right are SUCH CRUST, MY SWEETIE, and SKIP- A-LONG. The Canadian challenger was MISS CANADA IV. The boat at the far right is exiting the lower turn at the Western end of the course and the Canadian shoreline can be seen in the background. The plant at the far left background is Ford Motor Company of Canada. The course was clockwise with the lower turn West of the MacArthur Bridge.
