Black and white photograph of the presentation of the Gold Cup Trophy to the winning owner and driver of MISS PEPSI in 1956. Pictured at left is driver Chuck Thompson, and at right, holding the trophy Ernie Dossin of the Dossin family, the boat's owner. Although MISS PEPSI was initially presented the trophy after it was announced that MISS THRIFTWAY had hit a buoy and was disqualified, that decision was later reversed, and the trophy was awarded to MISS THRIFTWAY.
