Print, Photographic

Black and white print of a photograph of the interior of the Albert Kahn-designed library added to the north side of the James E. Scripps Mansion in 1898. In 1927 the addition was moved to the neighboring Scripps Branch Library in the former George G. Booth house. The library is a Gothic ribbed vault supported by a central pillar, and contains a statue of a seated figure, in addition to walls of books, desks, and chairs. "James E. Scripps home Grand River-Trumbull, The Library, Filed: before 6/1919," is printed on a label affixed to the verso.
