Print, Photographic

Black and white photo taken of the nearly completed demolition of the old Skating Pavilion on Belle Isle, with its replacement, the Flynn Pavilion in the foreground on the right. A portion of several walls, and rubble are all that remain of the old pavilion. A backhoe and a truck, and several figures are also on the site. A "Joyce" sign is posted on the eastern end of the site. "Department of Parks and Recreation, 3rd Floor Griswold Building, 1214 Griswold Street, Detroit 26, Mich. June 23 1950," is stamped on the verso. Holes have been punched along the top of the photo for a three-ring binder.
