The sign includes neon tubes for the lettering of "Belle Isle Park," an image of the seal of the City of Detroit at the top, and a space for removable lettering, which reads," Aqua Follies Nightly Late Show Sat 1130 PM, Canoe Choral Pageant Fri Aug 26th 8 PM Band Shell." The Belle Isle Coach Station stands on the other side of the tunnel to the east. Along the street above the east side of the tunnel is a recruitment sign for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
