Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a large food exhibition held in the auditorium at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Several differing types of foods and brands are featured in the displays. Items include dates from California Garden Fresh in the right foreground, chocolates and confectionary items from Altray Imports; Elmer Candy, Kelling Nut Shop, Wilbur Buds, and American Dietaids. Differing types of canned and jarred goods are visible on the left side of the image. A large maypole is featured at the center of the food exhibition, with streamers attached from the pole to the walls. The photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "23714-x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer." The date is hand-written on the verso, "1948."
