One black and white photograph of the decorative curved white marble backdrop for the Spirit of Detroit statue (prior to the installation of the statue). The view looks southeastward from the east side of Woodward Avenue and shows the upper portion of the recently-completed backdrop in the left foreground. The backdrop includes raised sculptures of the seals of the City of Detroit and Wayne County as well a Biblical inscription from II Corinthians 3:17. An American flag is flying at the top of a flagpole in the right foreground.
