The view looks northwestward and shows Woodward Avenue in the lower foreground. A row of old 4-story to 6-story brick buildings can be seen in the left background along with portions of the Guardian Building and National Bank of Detroit Building. The David Stott Building can be seen in the far center background. The side of the Spirit of Detroit statue with its upraised left arm is visible in the right foreground. Handwritten blue ink text on the verso reads "A2-19-59."
