One black and white photograph of the Spirit of Detroit statue at the entrance to the City-County Building (now the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center) in Detroit. The view looks upward to the northeast and shows the upper part of the statue along with its curved white marble backdrop which shows raised sculptures of the seals of the City of Detroit and Wayne County as well as a Biblical inscription from II Corinthians 3:17. Two workers can be seen on a suspended working platform on the west wall of the 20-story City-County Building in the background.
