Print. Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring housewares for "Summer Salads" available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Salad bowls, serving dishes, peppermills, grinders, and differing types of salad accessories are featured throughout the display. A mannequin in a chef's hat and jacket stands behind the central signage with a plate of lettuce and accompanying vegetables used to create a salad; the signage reads, "Summer Salads - Main course for hot summer nights, So much tastier when made and served in gay salad sets…-Easier to make when you have the right utensils, Tenth Floor, Farmer." House hold histories are visible on either side of the display. The photographic sequence number is printed on the bottom of the recto, "18471-x."
