One black and white photograph of construction work that is underway for the new Civic Center redevelopment project in downtown Detroit. The view looks westward and shows a large area of excavation that is lightly covered with snow. A concrete wall for a new underground parking garage is visible at the far end of the excavated area. Also visible are a construction crane, a pile driver, pipe sections, and equipment. The Veterans Memorial Building can be seen in the left background along with several office/commercial buildings that are visible in the center background. Other office/commercial buildings can be seen along Jefferson Avenue in the right background.
