One black and white photograph of a Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corporation drillboat at Pointe La Barbe near St. Ignace, Michigan. The photo shows a starboard bow view of the drillboat which is anchored just offshore near several piles of rip rap. A barge, a tugboat, and Lake Michigan are visible in the background. The drillboat is performing preparatory work for the Lakehead Pipeline crossing of the Straits of Mackinac.
