The photo shows rows of pipe floats in the foreground with an open field, office building, parked cars, and equipment in the background. Lake Michigan is visible in the far background. A black ink stamp on the verso shows the date, "Jun. 29, 1953." The staging area was located west of St. Ignace, Michigan.
