Print, Photographic

One black and white photograph two men with a film camera. They are standing near the shoreline of the staging area for the Lakehead Pipeline crossing of the Straits of Mackinac. The photo shows an unidentified younger man (left) and a middle-aged man (right) who are standing beside a film camera that is mounted on a tripod. Presumably, they are ready to film the pipeline as it is pulled from the shore into Lake Michigan. Black ink stamps on the verso read "Merritt-Chapman & Scott Corp. Photo," and "Sep. 17, 1953." The staging area was located west of St. Ignace, Michigan, at Pointe La Barbe.
