One black and white photograph showing a new seawall under construction on the Chicago River near Halsted and Haines Streets. The photo shows steel bracing along the back side of the seawall in a section that has not been backfilled with earth. The ground is lightly covered with snow. The Chicago River and opposite shoreline are visible in the upper right corner area of the photo. A typewritten label near the lower right corner reads "Commonwealth Edison Co., F.C. 1206, March 30, 1964, Halsted & Haines Dock, Looking North." A black ink stamp on the verso reads "Calumet Studio, Arthur P. Stalla, SO 8-1951, Reorder No. FS6410."
