One black and white photograph showing a new seawall under construction along the North Branch of the Chicago River near Throop Street. The photo shows steel bracing along the back side of the seawall in a section that has not been backfilled with earth. The ground is lightly covered with snow. A barge is moored alongside the seawall and part of its deck is visible on the upper right side of the photo. A typewritten label near the lower left corner reads "FC 1218, March 1, 1966, P.G.L & Co., Throop St. Dock, View Looking West from Middle of Job." A black ink stamp on the verso reads "Calumet Studio, Arthur P. Stalla, SO 8-1951, Reorder No. FS6614."
