One black and white photograph of the new pieces of heavy stone rip rap that have been placed along the Buffington Harbor breakwater in Gary, Indiana. The breakwater and harbor are visible in the foreground and Lake Michigan is visible in the left background. The Buffington Harbor Lighthouse can be seen at the end of the breakwater in the right background. A typewritten label near the lower right corner reads "FC 1295 - Universal Atlas Cement, Buffington Plant - June 26, 1975. During Progress of Job." The work was done by the Dunbar & Sullivan Dredging Company.
