One black and white photograph of an underwater telephone cable that was laid across the Trenton Channel of the lower Detroit River and is being brought ashore. The photo shows Michigan Bell Telephone Company engineers who are wearing hardhats and are standing along the Trenton shoreline. An apartment building, small marina, a cable-laying barge, the Detroit River, and the Grosse Isle shoreline can be seen in the background.
