One black and white photograph (and negative) of a dredge or derrick boat and a barge that are moored in a lock at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. The wintertime photo shows a group of workmen who are standing on a snow-covered barge in the right foreground. A dredge or derrick boat is moored behind it and appears to be partially decommissioned with the derrick arm lowered onto the barge. Spud piles have been removed from the boat along with the smokestack and pilothouse. A second lock is visible in the background along with a railroad bridge.
