Black and white photo of the World's Largest Stove at the Michigan State Fairgrounds as taken from across Woodward Avenue to the west, during John Harvey Versteeg's inspection of the stove on July 17, 1966. The neighboring Department of Street Railways bus shelter is in frame on the left. "AUG 66," is printed in the center of the photo's top border. "John Harvey Versteeg, Industrial History Division, Detroit Historical Museum," is stamped on the verso. The photo was previously pasted to a page beside the handwritten caption, "July 17, 1966."
