Black and white photo of a group of people, predominately clad in late-19th century costume, posed in front of and on the platform of an old horse-drawn streetcar on East Elizabeth Street near Woodward Avenue during the parade to promote Timken's trucks on January 8, 1931. Beside a man in a modern conductor's uniform, the men wear top hats or bowlers, and long coats or cloaks. The two women on the car's platform wear broad-brimmed hats decorated with feathers, and one of the women holds a baby. Spectators are gathered in the background on the right. The sign for Ottenheimers Brothers, Incorporated hangs above a storefront on the right.
