Print. (2 Copies.) Black and white photographic print of a window display featuring differing styles of holiday greeting cards available at The J.L. Hudson Company Department Store. Holiday cards, are displayed throughout the window and are affixed to a large frame on the left, hung from a metal grid in the rear, and displayed on the floor in the foreground. Signage on the right side of the display advertises Norman Rockwell Christmas Cards; also, signage in the middle of the display reads, "It's Christmas Time at Hudson's, The Store With Wonderful Things! Appropriate, well-versed Hallmark Cards, Harbingers of Your Yuletide Sentiments, Assorted Cards…First Floor Woodward; Boxed Cards….Mezzanine, Farmer; Personalized Cards…Third Floor." Adjacent signage reads, "Hallmark, Gallery Artists Cards, Paintings by Norman Rockwell, Grandma Moses, and 33 other Famous Artists." Christmas ornaments are sporadically placed throughout the display. The date, photographic sequence number, company name, and photographer's name are printed on the bottom of the recto, "11-18-49; 23943-2x; The J.L. Hudson Company; Photography by Davis B. Hillmer."
